Hump Day

Hello everyone!

I hope that your week is going as smoothly as mine is!  With chemo being "SO last week," I have begun to look forward to a few things going on recently.  Monday, despite a painful weekend, I attended "Look Good, Feel Better."  This is a program through the American Cancer Society for females going through chemotherapy to feel better about themselves.  It is a class that teaches you how to apply skin care items and makeup to help you "look good and feel better" about yourself as your skin/body goes through changes due to the treatments.  The best part is, FREE STUFF!!!

Inside my goody bag
As you can see, there is a ton of stuff in here!  Most of the products are Chanel, with some from other brands as well.  Ladies, I definitely have been having fun with the stuff!

Tuesday was definitely a better day for me.  Why, you ask?  I got a wig!!!  It has been so difficult to see myself without hair, that when I put wigs on, nothing seemed to look right, until...

My new 'do
I could NOT get the smile off of my face all day...and I still have it!  I love wearing my long hair because it helps me feel pretty and happy about myself.  Also, there is a new confidence in me when I wear it.  The only thing I noticed was that I have to wear my makeup a little brighter due to the chocolate coloring of the hair, otherwise I get washed out.

It feels great to be told I look beautiful and that it looks natural because it is such a self-confidence downer when you lose your hair.  You think, it's just hair...no big deal, but you don't realize how much it is a part of you until there isn't any.  Now I understand what men go through...

I hope that everyone's week is going great!  Today was a great hump day (free appetizer from T.G.I.Friday's and bowling with friends) and I can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds!  Just goes to show that it doesn't have to be the weekend in order to have fun!

Did you do anything fun this week so far??
