Late Night Reflections

I know, I know...It has been FOREVER since I posted last.  Cancer kinda got in the way...

Yes, I said cancer...April of this year I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma Stage 2.  Luckily, after 6 long months (and a move back to NC), I am now in remission and the cancer is completely gone!  Also, I got engaged to the bestest guy EVER!!!  So, what in the world do I talk about in my blog.  Nothing new is happening minus wedding planning stuff, spending time with my fiance and his family, and the occasional sleepovers at my girlfriends house.  Playing new games on my Xbox with friends takes up most of my time since I am not exactly able to work right now.  But all that will change when the spring hits!  I shall be moving to Morganton and hopefully finding a job and going back to school!  So excited to start my life with my man!

I want to do some cooler posts on here, so bear with me as I dig into my sister-in-law's brain and learn me some new html stuff!  If you have any ideas on a cool topic you would like for me to expound on, feel free to leave a comment!

Trudging Along

It's been a while since I last posted.  Chemo is coming along...only 4 more left!  PET CT tomorrow morning.  Hopefully the cancer will be almost gone (or gone altogether!).

This past week, I have spent some time doing some self-evaluation.  I realized that while I lived in New Jersey, I became withdrawn and lost a lot of myself.  I don't want to go into blame or reasons, but I have done my best to get my old self back.  I am in another relationship...scary since I just left a not so good one, but I'm surprisingly happy and not feeling hesitant about my decision to pursue this relationship.  We have picked up where we left off when we dated before and he has done nothing but bring patience and support since.  Other than that, I've just done my best to stay active and pick up old hobbies in hopes that I'll be back to my old self soon.

I am so ready for this cancer crap to be over with.  It has been a long road so far and I'm trying to stay positive and keep my head up.  I am starting to break down though and am becoming more sensitive the closer I am to the end.  Maybe it is because I am scared that I might have to take chemo longer and the cancer isn't gone.  This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to go through and I don't know where my strength is coming from.  I need some good news on Thursday...I think I will break down if I don't.

Fresh Start

It's amazing how your life can change in only a week...three for that matter.  Within these past few weeks, I have become single, moved back home to NC from NJ, and then put under the knife for a port.

WHEW!!!

It has been a crazy month so far.  Thank goodness for friends and family that are standing by to help me get through all of this.  I'm very much thankful!

I will be back to posting regularly when something exciting happens :-D
